Dr Chowdhury is a researcher working in the field of disruptive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Fintech. He is an InnovateUK Grant winner and a member of the team that proposed the world’s first Covid-19 antibody and vaccination certification system back in April 2020 using blockchain technology. Dr Chowdhury is the author of the bestselling book Inside Blockchain, Bitcoin, and Cryptocurrencies and also edited several books including Multidisciplinary Functions of Blockchain Technology in AI and IoT Applications. He published many papers in reputed journals and book chapters in academic books. He has been acting as a reviewer for numerous journals published by IEEE, Elsevier, and MDPI, and works as a series editor for the Smart Technology book series published by Taylor & Francis. Currently, Dr Chowdhury works as a researcher at the Blockchain Group of the Open University and as the Chief Scientist at Chowdhury Initiatives. He’s also a Consultant at Compliance House Limited (UK) and RNT Global Ltd (UK). Dr Chowdhury obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Glasgow as a Scottish Overseas Research Scholar and also served as a Govt. of Ireland Scholar at Trinity College, University of Dublin. He is a President Gold Medallist for his earlier academic achievements in Bangladesh.
