The Subornogram foundation works for the non-privileged children’s education and rights, like the River Gypsy, Cobbler, Indigenous, and Fisherfolk community. The three main problems in the community involving children and youth are education and food, and health care. Subornogram foundation started schools for their children in 2007. More than 200 non-privileged children get the opportunity to study in these four schools which is free of cost. The foundation provides teachers, study materials, and sometimes morning breakfast for the children. While visiting school we worked on the STEAM based learning model. We selected a story “charai o bagher golpo”. This school is made of bamboo.
